Automated Rules for campaign optimisation

Changelog cover

September 17, 2024

What’s New?

We've introduced a new feature called Rules on the Campaign page. These Rules optimise traffic sources by automatically blacklisting sites and spots based on statistical data collected over a period you specify.

Why It’s Helpful

Rules enhance campaign management by automating the blacklisting of sites or spots that don’t meet your conditions. For example, you can set a Rule to exclude sites with high impressions or spend but low conversions.

How It Works

Defining the Rule:
— Choose the statistics to collect, such as cost, clicks, or impressions
— Specify the data collection period: the last X days

Data Analysis: Rules take effect after your campaign has been live for at least 24 hours, measured from the campaign’s launch. This gives us time to gather enough statistical data.

Applying the Rule: The Rule automatically adds sources to the Blacklist if they meet the defined conditions.

Example: Setting the Rule for a 3-day period

Suppose you launched a campaign 4 days ago and now wants to create a Rule:

Example of rule period 1: Campaign Launch

Then you select a 3-day period for the Rule:

Example of rule period 2: Choose of 3 days

The Rule will use statistics from the past 3 days:

Example of rule period 3: Start of Statistics Tracking by the Rule

In summary, a Rule defines the period and collects statistics to blacklist sites or spots.
